About This Course

After finishing the Psychology course, the student will acquire a wide perspective regarding fundamental psychological concepts and vocabulary used in different fields: Psychotherapy, academic environments such as schools and of course scientific research in Psychology. Students will be introduced to several of the fields in which Psychology shows a key role. Can an individual change their personality? What is intelligence? These will be some of the questions that would be addressed along the different modules.

Meet Your Instructor

Dr. María Banqueri

Dr. María Banqueri majored in Psychology at Granada University in 2013 and completed her M.Sc. in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2014. She conducted a Ph.D. at Oviedo University and an internship at Roslin Institute (Edinburgh University) about the psychobiological effects of early stress, during these four years she lectured at the Psychology faculty. In 2019 she moved to Warsaw to work as a postdoc in Molecular Neurobiology at Nencki Institute where she is finishing a project about the microglial role in major depressive disorders. During this last postdoc, she collaborated with La Sapienza University in Rome. She has published 11 scientific papers and 5 book chapters and shared scientific results in meetings and congresses more than 20 times.
