Neuroscience is one of the most advanced and fastest-growing sciences. The beginning of the 21st century has seen huge developments in techniques to study and understand how the brain works. Despite still having a long way to go to understand the ever-increasing complexity of the brain, neuroscience is now an established science. This course will explore neuroscience from basic cell biology, how the brain is studied to disorders affecting the brain in patients.

Starts 13th July 2024

About This Course

In this course, a basic introduction to the cell biology of the brain including neurons and glial cells will be given. We will also explore the electrical properties of neurons and how they communicate. Basic and advanced techniques of neuroscience for studying the brain cells in humans will be explained. This course will also look at different brain regions of evolutionarily basic and complex structures and functions in their healthy and diseased states.
